Why did I start Paddle&Brew when there are already 100s of roasteries out there? 

I blame New York. 

I grew up loving coffee in India. Beginning with Nescafe's instant coffee just for flavoring the milk to Starbucks when it opened in Bangalore - I’ve had coffee in all shapes and colors. Then everything changed in 2018 when I moved to the US. Starbucks was everywhere but it was neither my taste nor my size, so I began my quest for my cup of joe and I found local roasteries which quickly became my go-to coffee places. Then one day, everything changed. 

My husband brought home this bag of beans from NYC. One sip and... boom. Passion fruit. I didn't even know coffee could taste like that. Naturally, my husband, who is an engineer and a 'gear hoarder' jumped at the opportunity and geeked out on roasting at home. I was skeptical : I kept buying my coffee elsewhere for months. Until Rumie, our 90-year-old neighbor—a total coffee connoisseur—tried his roast. She said, “This is the coffee I’d want to wake up to every morning.”

That was the moment. If it's good enough for her, it’s good enough for the world.

Now, we purposefully source only the finest single-origin coffee beans from around the world, roast in small batches with precision, a whole lot of love and a dash of magic(because I believe magic is real - yes you heard that right) so that every morning is one you look forward to. An extraordinary coffee for the extraordinary person that you are.
