Born in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, we roast this rare Geisha varietal express Light to shine a light on the delicate Jasmine, Lilac, Tea-like notes and accentuate the underlying Blueberry candy notes.

Deep within the misty, cloud-kissed peaks of Matagalpa, Nicaragua, a rare cosmic wonder is born. Star-Berry Dew is a Geisha nano-lot, produced in such small quantities that each bean feels like a token of luck. This coffee is not simply grown; it is conjured at high altitudes where the soil is rich, the air is crisp, and the harvest is fleeting.

The Alchemy of the Natural Process
The magic of Star-Berry Dew reaches its peak during its natural processing. Only the most flawless, ruby-red coffee cherries are hand-selected under the Nicaraguan sun. Instead of washing the fruit away, the cherries are left completely intact to dry slowly on raised beds.

As they bask in the mountain breeze, a beautiful alchemy occurs. The sweet, sticky fruit flesh slowly dehydrates, allowing the seed inside to concentrate and absorb the deep, sugary secrets of the cherry. This slow, sun-drenched slumber infuses the coffee with its wild, complex soul and its signature candied sweetness.

Meet the Producers

Finca Idealista

Ben Weiner is the the farmer and own the flagship farm Finca Idealista where only the ripe cherries without defects and mold are picked and sorted. In his farm, he uses machetes instead of herbicides, a mushroom instead of pesticides and volcanic filters to keep mucilage-filled wash-water out of the watershed.

Some farms and companies decide to purchase certifications intended to show that they protect the environment or workers. Ben Weiner's company decided to go further than certifications. They purchased a rainforest for the sole purpose of protecting endangered and at-risk wildlife and plants living there, including three-toed sloths, howler monkeys, tree frogs, toucans, orchids, and finches.
